Is this Apple's New 4G iPhone? (Video)

Apparently Apple’s fourth-generation iPhone may have accidentally found it's way into the hands of the tech press.

Gadget bloggers Gizmodo claim they not only have exclusive pictures of a real iPhone 4G, but that they have the actual device itself.   And to verify it, they’ve created a video with detailed examination and explanation to prove that this iPhone is indeed the real 4G.

They claim that Apple’s next iPhone was “found lost in a Bar in Redwood City, camouflaged to look like an iPhone 3GS. We got it. We disassembled it. It’s the real thing, and here are all the details.”

According to editor Jason Chen, this found iPhone is real  (and not an Asian-originated fake, as Engadget’s readers had claimed when it first published photos last week).
These are some specs to confirm their claim :

  • Apple was reported to have lost a 4G device
  • The screen has a higher resolution
  • The operating system is not anything currently on the market
  • It uses micro-SIM, an as-yet-unadopted standard
  • It has a Front-facing video chat camera and an improved regular back camera with a good pixel and has a flash.
  • It was found in a case that was engineered to make it look like a 3GS
  • The new iPhone Gizmodo comes up with a split buttons for volume and power, the mute and volume buttons are metallic the back is made of glass and ceramic materials.
